Everybody likes to read something but not everybody finds reading books as fun. Most find it boring to read books especially novels because there are no pictures, only words and paragraphs. Indeed some books may be too boring to read simply because of its lack of visuals.

There are some people who find it interesting to read while you have something to look at. Some people may think that a single picture is enough to tell the whole story. There are also some who are not really reading but merely scanning the pages. For books to be updated it may take a few years and if you are someone who wants to be updated most of the time the other reading material you should read aside from the daily paper are magazines.

Magazines can help keep you updated with almost everything because a new issue is always released every month or every two months. Magazines talk about almost everything. It can tackle about politics, health, famous people, lifestyle and many more.

Another feature that the magazines have that make them more interesting than books are pictures. These pictures bring the pages to life. It is hard to imagine a magazine without a picture especially if that magazine talks about showbiz. If you are an avid magazine reader then you would be very familiar with the places where you can find some prime collections of magazines.

1. Bookstores. It would be best if the term is not taken too literally. Bookstores do not only sell books but they sell magazines as well. It is in this place where you can find the most variety of magazines from political to technological, from home and health to fashion and beauty. It is hard to tell, but there might be a slight difference when it comes to the prices between magazines sold at newsstands and magazines sold in bookstores.

2. Newsstands. Again this doesn't only sell newspapers but also magazines. Newsstands can be found anywhere; you can usually locate some of it on a busy sidewalk where there are a lot of people passing by. The magazines can either be placed on a rack or laid down on a table of a display window. This is the most accessible place to find magazines especially when you are in a hurry. There is no need if it is the latest issue because newsstands usually sell magazines that have been released recently.

3. Net. Of course this is the modern and high tech world of the 21st century and almost everything can be found on the net. Of course do not expect to find a full paged magazine on the net, instead expect something that requires you to subscribe or something that serves as a teaser or a promotion. If you find the traditional subscription letter too much of a bother you can always subscribe through the net. It is easier and it is also faster. After you have subscribed you can sit back and relax and you are assured that the latest issues will be delivered to your doorstep.

Magazines are fun to read and whatever your interests are, there will always be a magazine for you.
